Fourteenth: Simple Bridal Styles
The minimalist bride shouldn’t be a forgotten class in the bridal world. She is beautiful, natural, and exudes understated elegance. The search for quality and a more simplistic wedding day style is real.
Many brides don’t wish to make an astounding entrance on their wedding day with light reflecting off of thousands of crystals and beads. Instead, they look for simple lines, rich fabrics, and beautiful wedding attire corresponding to their everyday lives and personalities. I think wedding gown designers are beginning to listen to brides and slowly trending towards the minimalist style.
While planning her wedding day look, Sam Landwehr looked for sleek and classic styles. She sports a confident view of her everyday fashion with “simple” being in its description. With many family members being clients of Headpiece.com, Sam felt connected and in the right place to find the accessories that weren’t so visible in other bridal salons.
We started by exploring designs for a downstyle that would convert to a bridal ponytail when the party was in full swing.
Sam loved my simple hair accessory ideas but began to sway from her original ponytail vision, opting to change to a low bun for the reception. We designed a set of petite crystal cluster pins to pop into a bun change before enjoying the company of her guests.

Wedding guests noted how beautiful and unique Sam’s accessories were. One such guest said it looked like an updated Greek Goddess headpiece.
I have now designed for two out of three of the beautiful Landwehr sisters. Both unique. Stephanie’s piece was a bridal vintage restyle from her mother’s 1980s hat. Sydney (right) has yet to take the bridal journey, but I am ready when she is.
I noticed Sam never changed to her second hairstyle and added crystal accessories. She enjoyed every moment of her wedding day and reception—her way!
What I love most about my job is that I have the opportunity to design something new and different every day. God gave me many talents, and interestingly, they center on love. ~ Marie
